A presenter for Haryana Higher Education Department said seven new government colleges had been set up from January to December 2013 in the state.
Similarly, Post graduate Regional Centre, Meerpur, Rewari has been upgraded to the level of Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewari.
Around five isolated universities had been recognized in the state in the year 2013. NCC Group headquarter, Hisar and two new NCC crowds were being started in Sirsa and Nuh. The refreshment allowance of NCC cadets has been improved from Rs. 6 per parade to Rs 25 per parade.
He said many scholarship and salary systems were being applied for brilliant students going to reserved castes, backward classes and poor families.
Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewari different students' sloping schemes were being realized for students of government colleges. Computer education has been made required in all government colleges. As many as 32 government colleges have been upgraded as centre of brilliance during the year.

IGU Meerpur Organises Patriotic Poem Pecitation, Declamation Contest
Indira Gandhi University (IGU) in Meerpur organized patriotic poem-cum-song recitation and declamation contest today.
Students of all the branches of the university shared in the event with full passion. They presented their opinions about the present political setup of the country and to make India the super power of the world.
